I like collecting things, cameras, art, books, pretty much anything old. I like food too, any style, cooking it, definitely eating, and looking at it. Plus, I like people. The people aspect might not be so obvious in my photography. Except for the fact that I like what people build, cook, create, write, or stand up for.
I like to see the simple beauty, the not so obvious details, in all the things people like to make and do.
During college I started assisting advertising photographers in Milwaukee and Chicago. This lead to working with a bunch of other people in the industry. People like wardrobe stylists, location scouts, producers, and prop stylists. Also doing production work for TV and commercials. All the various jobs I took on, gave me the skills, plus connections, for my own photography work.
Paying attention to detail, being creative, and keeping an open connection with someone I'm working with is key for me, whether a small business, or big agency.
I'm currently based in Milwaukee WI, in the Lincoln Village neighborhood, on the city's south side (another thing I really like). With ties to New Orleans and Chicago, I'm always available for travel.
